Job Description
La Vie is seeking hosts to join one of the best restaurant teams in Washington D.C.
At La Vie, we pride ourselves in providing an exceptional guest experience in a beautiful setting. When a guest comes to La Vie, they are not simply going out to have dinner and drink, they are having an expereicne. The hosts are responsible for starting this experience. They are our first impression, our ambassadors.
La Vie provides for a hosting experience in a high volume, celabratory environment. Each day will present new challenges and new learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ascertains their dining/lodging needs.
- Seats guests and manages the seating chart.
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
